Happy Easter

We woke up this morning to the sound of a beautiful little princess singing and dancing around. Ava was vocally excited about all the tiny chocolate eggs the Easter Bunny had hidden and even more excited about a lamb-basket filled with candy just for her. Before we were even out of bed, Ava had piled our bed with the contents of our couch, two baskets, a book, a movie and a handful of chocolate eggs already discovered.

After reminding her that Jack wasn't awake and that we should put everything back so he could see it, Ava returned everything and we all went to see the J-man. He was barely waking up at 8:10AM, though once he had his milk, he was ready for Easter.

Once the kids had a chance to have a piece of candy, we started the Easter Egg hunt. With minimal help, Jack was able to hold his own in the hunt, finding a record 37 eggs while Ava still beat him out with 42! Both kids did super well and even took turns giving the sibling the egg if they both discovered the same one.

It was so fun to see how excited they were to see each egg, it was as if every egg was the first egg they had found! Compared to last year, Jack was keeping up with Ava amazingly, although toward the end he would just yell mine everytime Ava found an egg and she would automatically give it to him, making the tally a little off, but by just a little!

After finding most of the eggs, we settled in for a delicious breakfast of sausage with cinnamon and orange rolls dough-boy style. It was a wonderful start to a special day.
