Growing Up

This little guy is so cute, he loves cars more than anything, especially real ones.  This is him in the Armada, Kyle's car is his favorite, though.  He will jump in there any chance he gets.

Green Smoothies

A good friend broke down the concept of green smoothies for me yesterday while Norah wolfed down about 6 oz of spinach, avocado, blueberries and coconut milk.  I thought it would be a great idea to get more green stuff into our diets, so I picked up some ingredients at the store-turns out she's not the only who likes them (even Ben drank some).

Biggest Box

We scheduled a bulk item pickup for tomorrow and spent some time taking a large amount of boxes, garbage, things we meant to throw away at the rental (but didn't) out to the curb.

The boxes from the family and music room chandeliers were so huge, thankfully they were empty!

The pile at the curb was such an eye soar, especially considering we moved in less than a week ago.  We thought the mountain would only be out there overnight, until we realized no one else had their trash cans out and that we had put our things out prematurely!

34 and Full

We then headed over to Perry's Steakhouse for an amazingly private dinner for two.

We were seating incorrectly, when a manager approached us and asked us to follow him to a private booth with curtains that we gladly closed.  The amount of binging that followed was due in part to the totally delectible filet I ordered and the famous pork chop Kyle got (that was the size of a pork roast) as well as
the mac n cheese and deep fried asparagus we had to start.

The free dessert was tasty, but the Rocky Road Bread Pudding with the homemade marshmallow the size of my fist was what put me over the top.

I was seriously comatose from all the hard work, lack of sleep and large amount food in my stomach that instead of driving home, I just wanted to pass out at the table.

Birthdays are cool, can't wait until next year!

Fun-Filled

For lunch my friend took me to Celebrity Cafe and we ate some delish sandwiches (I had half of the caprese on a croissant) , skipped out on all their amazing looking desserts and headed over to I O Metro to check out some furniture.

Kyle and I are on the hunt for a new sectional for the media room.  Our leather couch and chair that we bought 11 years ago used was sold last week on Craigslist, so someday when we have time to watch TV again (it's seriously been like a year), it would be nice not to sit on the floor.

Next on the agenda was a trip to the fabric store to pick out some trim for all of our shades.  I bought the last 12 yards of the coolest black linen fabric and headed over to the upholstery shop to place my order FINALLY (I've been trying to order these shades since the middle of December).

Our babysitter came shortly after we finished up opening presents (a set of stainless steel pots/pans,  the knife set pitched to us at the company Christmas party by Kenneth Rathburn, a lense for my IPhone, as well as a bunch of other awesome gifts from my awesome family) and eating my cupcakes from a nearby sweet shop.

Day Off

After an intense weekend of moving, packing and being completely unsettled once again, my birthday happened.

Monday morning, Kyle arranged a babysitter and we made it over to a nearby joint called Spoons for some breakfast. I ordered the french toast with a side of pancakes.  The large hot chocolate I had before the meal was the best part.

Move Day(s)

We started the day off with a leak in the new house and movers that showed up at 4:30 in the afternoon, just after I picked up all the kids from the friends' houses they were playing at.

While Kyle and I packed up the remainder of the rental and tried not to get too frustrated at the lateness of our movers, the day passed quickly and we were distracted from how late we would be working tonight!

We finally got the kids to bed around 9:30, since their beds were the last things to be unloaded from the truck.  I hit the sack around 1 after a few trips to the rental once the movers left for the night.

Kyle made another trip until 2AM and then passed out for a few hours before getting up and facing all the unpacked boxes and the task of getting the rental cleaned up enough to do a final walk-thru with our landlord that night.
