When Aunt Cassie was visiting from Champaign-Urbana, she and Ava were always working on writing letters. Ava has a Doodle Pro board that she can write on and erase with ease. Aunt Cassie would write the letter and Ava would trace it all by herself. After a week of doing that, Aunt Cassie went back home and Ava started writing letters with no help at all.
Two days after Cassie left I came upstairs and Ava had written an M, well after being prompted, she completed almost the entire alphabet, except for S, Aunt Cassie's favorite letter. Finally, almost two weeks later, she has done an S and even started writing lower case letters too! Also of note, Ava can recognize which word goes with which object! She amazes us all the time!
