The State Championship trophy from last season got its engraving done and was placed into the case. After the pink night festivities we snuck over and took these proud pictures! Norah and her fellow manager were not included on this trophy even though Kyle specifically noted his desire to see their names on there considering how much they helped the team throughout the season.

Contributors!!
Norah helped her team to victory more this season than any other. Being up front with the setter for most of her rotations allowed her many more opportunities to put the ball away. She has led the team in blocks the last two years and been one of the top 3 servers on the team this whole season.
Pink Night Photo!
Since Norah has been participating in Pink Night, Ben and her have taken a picture together at the end of the night. This was the first year Ben didn’t wear any pink at all!The team’s jersey t-shirts are always a hue of pink, last year was Norah’s favorite shade!!Love these cuties!!
Region Champs!!
The varsity gym girls all got together at the end of the game and took photos with the Region Champion trophy! We went undefeated in region this year and last, the two years Norah and the rest of the seniors all played varsity were pretty successful!!
Timeout!!
Each timeout taken and ace served, the freshman girls went around the gym asking for donations. For Norah’s three ages we tried to give the girls some money, but there were so many other people trying to donate we only made it happen one time!!
Pink Night Quilt!!
The yearly cancer fundraiser the girls volleyball team puts on had another successful year. This quilt alone brought in a $1050 donation! Love that our DS is small enough to fit under Norah’s arm!!

New Plaque Picture!
Our first Sunday in our new ward I asked a member of the bishopric through tears about the ability to get a new mission plaque made for our missionary. He said he would forward the picture, scripture and mission info to the person over plaques. Three weeks later he had not done that and the guy in charge of plaques asked me for the info himself. As a result of that guy’s negligence Jack was able to swap out his picture in front of the Rome temple for this one in Siena. A blessing after all.
Favorite Flower
Jack noticed this framed Edelweiss flower at the senior couple’s house and noted on the photo that it was his favorite flower. I sent him a picture of the Austrian edelweiss bouquet we still have on our mantle after all these years.

The Difference Maker
After a tough loss to number 4 Canyon View in 3 sets, Norah and the Trojans had to face the reigning state champs we lost to last year, a team that hasn’t lost a game in 2 years and has their OH hitter committed to Utah Tech. Even though they won the second set by 10, we can out on top and according to our coach and max preps, Norah was the difference maker.
She had 6 of our team’s 8 blocks, the second most kills on the team on the third most sets. The final three points of the game were two kills by Norah and then her blocking their super star OH. Norah opted to ride the bus back to Morgan with the team and relish in the glory of this most memorable win!!

With Ben home from his tournament with his ankle injury he and I were able to watch the entire game via FaceTime with Kyle who was there. The miracle of the day in addition to the win, was Kyle having his computer charged within arm’s reach and a phone cord when his battery was at 1% during the end of the 4th set. I was brought to tears watching Norah showcase her God-given talent!!
Cuddlebug
It’s been almost a month and Ulli is much more calm inside the new house. He still struggles on his walks, but not nearly as bad. He no longer pants constantly or paces around the house right before we need to leave him home alone. He sleeps on his bed at night and is honestly enjoying so much more carpet to lay on. Having Ava come home last weekend for the first time and saying she felt ok and now Ulli doing better has made me feel a little more at peace.
Injury Alert!!
At the second set of the first game of the second and final day of Ben’s tournament he came down onto his middle’s foot and rolled his ankle. Ben was unable to walk off the court or to the car after getting taped up and the green light to leave without help from his teammates. Thankfully he was walking by the end of the day Saturday and with all the therapy felt good enough to practice on Wednesday with a brace.

5 Days
From first mention of the idea to matted, framed and hung on the wall took 5 days! Love how it turned out, that it is so special to our family and that is one of the first things you see when you walk into the house!!

Dominant!!
Norah had 9 kills, 1 ace, 5 blocks and 1 dig!! She had the final dig, then immediately got set on the right side and then the winning kill of the whole game. It was an awesome night and nana, papa and Grammy were even able to watch online!
Teammates!
Having these two buddies on the team has been a real blessing to Norah. So glad theses tall girls have each other!!
Sisters!!
These two are still close in spite of the 4 year age difference. They can be found up late playing Phasmaphobia online together or texting or on a call. The sister bond they have has survived Ava’s mission and 3 semesters at byu. Once Norah gets to college, I bet they will be even closer!!
Feeling the Love!
Even though we didn’t have tons of family or friends in attendance like all the other girls, we had our core people!! I hope these guys are always this close and supportive throughout their lives!!
The Gang Minus 1!
It was so wonderful to have Ava come back to Morgan so soon after being here this past weekend. She got her at the perfect time and we were able to take this cute family photo after the game.
The Lineup!!
The parents were able to be on the court while each player’s bio was announced. Ava was able to take this blurry picture of us from the stands since the photographer didn’t get any decent ones of us.
Spoiled!!
These girls were gifted an amazing night where they were each highlighted and celebrated on the court and through the pamphlet that was printed for everyone in attendance. One of the moms also did an amazing flower display and we all chipped in and bought each of the girls a senior gift and these fun balloon displays. The team dinner afterwards was another gift, each of the girls’ favorite soup since Norah hates soup Kyle made her an Alfredo ravioli with mushrooms dish and it ended up being everyone’s fave.
Senior Display!
For Senior night we were asked to make display of our seniors’ volleyball journey. Most people did a science fair type poster, we spray painted this cork board from our master bedroom in Liberty and printed a bunch of photos of Norah. I hand lettered and cut out her name in a font I found called Duetsch Gothic. We had an easel that could handle the weight of the corkboard and the finished product was absolutely Norah!
